Thomas (Teej) Bansley Senior Physiotherapist

I have been working at KCP Physiotherapy since 2017. I completed my Bachelors Degree in Physiotherapy in 2016, a Postgraduate Diploma in Sports Physiotherapy in 2020 and my Masters in Manipulative Therapy in 2021. I have also completed a Certificate in Orthopaedic Manual Therapy (COMT) through the New Zealand Manipulative Association (NZMPA) in 2018 and an advanced sideline injury management course, Immediate Care in Rugby Level 2 through NZ Rugby in 2018 and again in 2021.

I have been heavily involved with rugby on the coast, working with the Horowhenua-Kapiti Heartland Team as Lead Physiotherapist from 2017-2020, and then as a playing squad member in 2021 and 2022.

I still play rugby for the Paraparaumu Rugby Football Club and I have had many an injury since beginning my rugby journey as a 10 year old kid.

I believe this first-hand experience of many different injuries, from simple sprains and strains through to surgeries, has allowed me to connect with my patients on a mutual level, and build the trust and understanding necessary to successfully get them back to whatever their personal activity and life goals are.
