Lizzie Nelson

Senior Physiotherapist

(Currently on maternity leave, returning mid-June)

Our bodies are pretty special and they know what they need to do in order to get better. However, often they need a bit of guidance & special care to encourage that process along and that's where we come in to help you help your body to recover.

I'm a friendly, approachable person and have always had a knack for making people feel comfortable which is important in the health care setting. I love sports, especially rugby, and am interested in health and wellness in general. I’ve worked extensively with several Rugby teams and a League team:- Paraparaumu Rugby Club, Porirua Rugby Club, Horowhenua Kapiti Heartland team, Horowhenua Kapiti Sevens team and Raukawa Rugby league.

As I move through different phases of my life, I find my interests shifting. Now as a mum of two I'm finding a real interest in women's health (because aren't our bodies amazing what they can do growing humans!!). I'd like to study womens health more, particularly pelvic health physiotherapy and am likely to get more qualified in this area – once I’m back from maternity leave.

I have a Physiotherapy degree from Otago, a Masters in Sports physiotherapy and qualifications in GEMT Dry needling and Polestar Pilates.
